Request for Sponsorship of Community Education Project

A Message from SATAOHN Chapter President Julia Reyes, DNP, RN:

Request for Sponsorship of Community Education Project

The San Antonio Association of Occupational Health Nurses is organizing community education on Overdose and Opioid Awareness at the C.C. Hooks vs San Antonio Missions game on Saturday, August 25 at 7:00 pm.

Our main objective is to raise awareness on the Opioid Crisis we are experiencing as a nation. Opioids are drugs that are used to relieve pain, and can be prescribed medications or illegal drugs like heroin. Every day in America, more than 115 people die after overdosing on opioids. The crisis affects everyone from the fetus (i.e., neonatal complications and withdrawal syndrome) to the elderly, from families to first responders to large companies.

We would like to raise funds in order to organize this community service and educational project. We would like to help make Corpus Christi a safer place for our children, and for our families to live and work. Funds will be used for printing educational materials and ribbons for families who wish to honor or remember a loved one who is fighting addiction or has lost the battle.

Therefore, we are inviting your company to support and sponsor this community service education project through contributing to the project success. There are three ways you can offer sponsorship for company recognition, although any donation to the cause will be very much appreciated!

Your contributions will make a big difference in educating families and employers who attend the game on this day on the epidemic crisis.

Deadline Date for Sponsors – June 25
