We are pleased to announce our presenters for the upcoming 2018 National. They represent the best and brightest in their respective fields, collectively with years of experience. We are honored to have each and every one of these speakers with us this year and we look forward to their thoughtful insights and perspective on the many topics they will be presenting. Keynote Speaker Mel Pohl, MD, DFASAM, Chief Medical Officer of Las Vegas Recovery Center (LVRC), will deliver a thought-provoking presentation on Chronic Pain and Addiction: How Have We Missed the Boat?, focusing on issues that arise for people living with chronic pain, including the significant effects of emotions and thoughts that cause suffering. He will examine how opioid use disorder (addiction) complicates the course of treatment of chronic pain. Treatment methods, including facts about the use of opioids, along with the benefits of finding new solutions for recovery in the face of chronic pain to diminish suffering. 

Pre-conference Workshops include Getting Started in Employee Health, Beyond Getting Started and more. Annette Haag’s multi-day COHN Certification Course will also be offered.

More than 10 general sessions and 18 breakout sessions New TB guidelines, USP implications for healthcare workers, respiratory protection programs, workplace violence, hazardous drug hangling and resources to combat the opioid crisis are just a few of the offerings this year.
